"The old families of Virginia will form connections with low people, and sink into the mass of overseers' sons and daughters".

Meet the Park Manager
I have worked with state parks for almost five years. In 2013 I started as chief ranger at Mason Neck, just south of Washington D.C. and then moved to the assistant manager at Smith Mountain Lake. In 2015, I transferred to Kiptopeke State Park where I worked for two years before being promoted to manager at Staunton River Battlefield State Park.
I grew up in the town of Purcellville Virginia. I earned a Bachelor’s degree at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I have a certificate of graduate study in natural resource management from Virginia Tech. Before moving to Virginia State Parks I worked for Loudoun County Parks and Recreation and also spent a year teaching English in Russia.
