A picnic shelter at the Clover Visitor Center is the ideal place for a large outdoor event such as a family reunion, or a corporate family outing providing seating for 90 people, a grill, a soft drink machine, a children's sand box and the many attractions of the park. Cold drink machines are available at both the Clover and Roanoke Visitor Centers.

​

A few picnic tables are also available at the Roanoke Visitor Center for use by the public at no charge.

In addition to handicap accessible restrooms available at the Clover and Roanoke visitors centers when open, the Historic Staunton River Foundation provides port-a-johns at the end of the walking trail on the Halifax County side of the park near the earthworks.
