A commemoration and celebration of the life of Judge Paul Carrington, who on this day, June 23 in 1818, crossed the river to Eternal Salvation. Together, the Foundation with other hereditary societies, such as the Order of the Founders & Patriots of America, the Society of the War of 1812, the American Descendants of the House of Burgesses 1619-1699, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy will bring remarks and present wreaths in honor and in memory of this patriot and founding father of the County of Charlotte and the Commonwealth of Virginia, who even after death continued to make a mark on the founding of this great nation through his progeniture who went on to serve as Congressman, Delegates, Governors, and Military Officers.
