About the event
Saturday, June 23: Clover Visitors Center, (9A.M.-Until); Free
A day-long event where we honor "old men and young boys," who gave so much to defend their bridge on that hot-summer day knowing that victory would keep the supplies flowing to Petersburg. There will be a Confederate encampment, musket firing, music, United Daughters of the Confederacy medal presentation, interpretive programs, guest speakers, Confederate encampment, firing demonstrations, and more. So, if you are a Civil War enthusiast or you would like to know more about our nations' history from a local prospective, come by for a truly eventful day here in historic Southside Virginia. Programs will begin at 9A.M. and there will be events throughout the day. No rain date.
