Staunton River Battlefield State Park

The Park lies on both sides of the Staunton River in Halifax and Charlotte Counties and astride the old Richmond and Danville Railroad bed.  Many still refer to the park as Staunton River Bridge which was used by the Confederate Army to defend the supply line in 1864 at the opposite end of the Park sits the former Randolph Depot, now used as the Roanoke Station Visitor Center.
